London is justifiably viewed as a desirable place to litigate claims due to the English legal system, which is globally recognised as both transparent and fair. English law and procedure is consistently applied, importantly providing relative predictability of outcome whilst being sufficiently flexible to adapt quickly to new areas of commerce and technology. As well as the Courts and highly trained and experienced judiciary, London also has a world leading reputation in arbitration and finance and is now the pre-eminent dispute settlement centre with a focus on high value cross border arbitration disputes.
Pursuing legal claims, regardless of jurisdiction, is however a very expensive business. Lawyers’ fees are prohibitively costly and the legal process lengthy and complicated, which means it is almost impossible for most prospective claimants to contemplate committing the financial and other resources required to seek the justice their claims would otherwise demand. Founded by experienced lawyers and investment bankers, 42 Legal Capital specialises in providing litigation and arbitration finance, enabling the pursuit of meritorious legal claims to the successful recovery of losses suffered by the claimant.
42 Legal Capital raises and invests its own capital in litigating and arbitrating legal claims. Our team has a track record of realised and funded projects providing creative and efficient funding solutions, bespoke to the relevant claim, thus transferring the legal spend and other risks away from the claimant. Individuals or groups of individuals can pursue claims they otherwise could not afford to; balance sheets are protected, liberating cashflow for core business needs as well as commercial innovation and enterprise. Corporate legal departments are transformed from a cost centre to a notional profit source.
